Minelab SE's First Maiden Voyage Out Finds Silver........
Met up with WaterColor and Kimsdad this morning.
Spent a while with this Minelab SE .
First find was a " PULL TAB " YAHOOOO it works....
2nd find was a Wheat Penny ( 1941 )
Those were found in the woods.
After being in the woods for a bit I wondered out to the open field
and started playing around with this new noise machine they call a detector.
Found some junk ..and after a while my
arm started getting tired so I took off to get some stuff done for a small get together with friends.
Got to the Pizza Place and they weren't open for another hour.
So I said what the heck
I'll take Kimsdad's advise check out places that I have hit with the XLT. So off I went down the road and checked out a small park that I have hit with 4 different detectors.
First being a Garrett in 1985 and then 3 other White's throughout the years.
After digging several holes with some pennies and some holes with nothing at all
I got that fluttie signal and started digging,
I got down about 6 inches and the probe was saying it was still in the hole. I thought just another blank hole . Then I said " WAIT THIS A DEEP MACHINE !!!!! DIG DEEPER....
Sure as heck out popped a silver disk. Took a pic and the looked to see a SLQ from the depths of 8 inches.
This coin came from an area that is nothing but trash in it so it was avoided a lot.
After digging a few wheats I was smiling.
Walked over to a small trashy area and the plucked a nice .925 Silver ring out that was 7 inches down.
I'm so happy with the beginners luck I have had with the " FIRST MAIDEN VOYAGE " with this Explorer SE
I know I won't find a nice pocket spill like Kimesdad or a Copper Artifact like WaterColor
so I will take my meager finds of beginners luck and smile
The first pic is a frog I found while detecting at the woods
