I need longer FBS coil cable for my near finished hip mount underwater explorer.. thanks all!
I started contest for info---prize silverrrr ;D

Why don't you just buy something that don't work or is busted that uses that type of cable and use it ???

that cable may be proprietary to Minelab, specifically for their machines. I would contact Minelab and see if they
have cables for your unit

Thanks Sniffer , I got some unswer from Minelab-read this: Hello Stasys,

Laba diena,

Thank you for this message.

To get this wire for you might take a long tome and will cost in the region of a few hundred euro.

Why so expensive?

First, we have to make sure the supplier of the wire has it in stock:

Then we have to buy 10 metres

Then we have to ship it either to here or to you so the entire transaction might get complicated.

Prasau advise if you are prepared to spend perhaps up to 200 EUROS for this piece of wire.

Stasys,
I am glad you found this! Expensive though, but understandable for a specialty cable. Like others said you may want to just find some broken FBS detectors and patch something together. Also shows some of the cost into making these detectors, which is interesting.

You may want to edit your post and remove Des Dunne's email, unless Des wants it publicly available...

Good luck...

Thanks p2c, but this cable cost like others not more not less. this letter from minelab just nice exsampe to say no... why to write so complicated things if Minelab makes coils? If I use expensive Minelab metal detectors I would like to believe that logical is to ask Minelab about coil cable? but not 20 euro -1metre! coiltek sells extention cable for explorer and its cost 35$ 1metre or Little bit more with all connections like finish product... So my position shame on Minelab that they cant help special group of consumers for so simple mater, who enthusiastically makes own design and try to make Minelab product work better! thanks Stasys
