For those unaware of what the mods cost, the reverse discrimination mod and putting on a set of Gray Ghost Amphibian headphone modification is a $200 mod with out the cost of the headphones, $350 total with new set GG Amphibian headphones.

Kellyco charges $125 to do a reverse discrimination mod with parts and $75 labor to change the headphones or a coil out. The Gray Ghost Amphibian headphones are $150 new..

Deduct the cost of the mods and your looking at a mint condition Excal with an Anderson 3 piece shaft and knob guard for $650, that is a heck of a deal.....

If I didn't already own 2 Excals with the reverse mod, GG Amphibian headphones and 15" coil mods I would seriously consider buying it myself....

Thanks Treasure hunter. All said with newer coil I have almost $1500 in it. I hate to part with it but going through personal issues with relocation expenses. All of this was done last spring and machine has been used very little.

Those headphones hot wired or with the CTX connector? That connector allows you to REPLACE those phones at just the cost of the CTX GGA ones. $1000 with those mods.......... anyone looking for an Xcal, skip a new one and grab this up.

Dewcon, they are hardwired. I do have both sides of the CTX connector as I was planning on changing the endcap out to use them on my CTX also, but sold the CTX. I actually liked using this machine over the CTX for wet sand and water detecting. The balance is perfect and hunting in reverse disc I found the Excal 1000 to be just as deep.

Machine is sold! I will certainly miss this setup. It's the best wetsand setup I've ever used. May it find the new owner many pieces of loot!!!!
