I bought a used Excalibur 1000,Noticed the headphone wire coating has pulled away, exposing wires,Also one knob disc/pinpoint plastic is gone,Need to get repaired.Where can I send it,Live in Vermont.Could do repairs,But since the electronics or outputs could be comprimised (water leakage)I'd rather have a pro repair. Thanks Grazzze

Kellyco is now an authorized Minelab repair facility. If there's that much deterioration to the wire I'd have the whole thing gone over and all the seals replaced, the coil needs to be checked as well. If you want better headphones Old Beechnut can do the Detector Pro Amphibian conversion for you, but I'd still have the whole machine gone over.

Will not deal with kelleyco unless I have to.Had a bad experience.Nuff said.Anyplace else thanks.grazzze

Personally I would send it to repair shop at kellyco, they do great quality repair work there. If you don't want Kellyco then send it to Minelab in Chicago.

We will NOT go quietly into the night!

Thanks Gunsil, and your correct 100% on going thur all

Grazz I can help you after Xmas if you need. My turn around is about one week on a repair, All machines I go thru and check O Rings then do a simple pressure test, Then a pool test of 45 minutes, some I even take out for a hunt myself just to check stability. I use the New Gray Ghost amphibian's setup for the Excalibur, a great improvement over the stock and the Original GGUW's...

One word of Warning to all Excalibur Blue owners, and I need to do a video on this,....... is every blue machine I have worked on and checked under the micro lens has needed the top o-rings replaces. Think I have done about 20 blues in the last few months...everyone needed them replaced. Very simple and I only charge 20 dollars for this...Or I can sell you the O rings to do yourself.....Seems like 99% of the Green machines just need Siliconed greased (Dow Corning 111)
And Sword models have been bad also......A few pics..

And I will be stopping all work come April 1st till Dec 2014 hunting season will be on and Gold awaiting..
