It has been said that Milton Noss buried 30 gold bars, Taken from his treasure
cave on Victoria Peak. Somewhere in Lordsburg vicinity. It is also believed he
sold some of the gold bars from the Victoria Peak treasure to people in Lordsburg.
As well as El Paso, Texas.
I personally think that this is basically true. What I question is where the gold came
from that Noss had. I would be interested in hearing what your take is on this.

The accepted lore says Noss hid these bars in the Hembrillo Basin vicinity and/or closer to Hatch. Where did you find the Lordsburg link?

He supposedly hid them in a lot of different places.
Personaly I think Noss was a fraud. He also had claims in the caballo moutains and else were in the state other than Victorio peak.. It has been claimed across the years some has been found..

Note the Ryan story goes he had hired folks to tunnel back into the shaft of fault, The first hole missed, so they moved over and tried again, Also missed. Only place I have seen that fits this is on the Victoria peak, formally called vics peak in a known gold producing area. Did find an old shaft folks had tarted to try and get back into, I could see down the crack and see timbers. Now a wilderness study area of course..

Some of the better treasure writers gave up their sources at the bottom
of the yarn. I'm thinking T. Terry was one who did. Do you still have
the article? Thanks, lastleg

There are TWO! other entrances to Doc's Caverns in "Vic" Peak !
AND!
One of them, is OFF! The WSMR ! :icon_pirat:
The other one, Known by The Present day Apaches
It is, NE of the Peak,
But, it is well on the WSMR
The one that is OFF WSMR, was found by "Jerry", Doc's Grandson & I
But!
"Jerry" died! before we could go in and check it out !
My Partner, "DOCC" (aka "Doc") & I WILL! be going into to this 2nd entrance/Tunnel,
Actually, I believe this entrance is actually, & to be, a fault/crevice :tongue3:
I Have never heard of Doc Noss going to, anywhere near Lordsburg to hide gold Bars
Where do I get this info ? :icon_study:
As I was working with "Jerry", Mrs Noss, Doc's Wife, & "Jerry's" Grandmother, mentioned this
Doc Noss took many of the gold bars into Mexico (El Paso) and there he sold them!
Lordsburg is a couple of hundred miles out of the way!
