Milkman's treasure is my trash

I've found these before but this is the first I was able to identify.? I can read everything from the right milk bottle seal, except the company name.? MILK, perfectly pasteurized, grade A, Des Moines Iowa.? The left one is stamped and not printed and I can't read it, too wrinkled.? Any idea when these were popular?? I'd guess 40's through 60's.? Too bad they sounded like silver and were at 7" ...

Also found a 1917-D Wheat that is worn but has a nice green patina, and cleaned with water, which is unusual.? I included the 1983 Canadian cent I found because of the red color, do they have different composition than US cents?? All the clad went to my girlfriend's nephews who were trying to get in the holes before I could! :)

Re: Milkman's treasure is my trash

Thanks for the replies. I had to post something since I'm sure it was my last hunt until Spring. Nice weather and in the 50's yesterday, already near freezing with rain changing to snow as I type. My next hunt will be when I break down and take the XLT into the crawlspace!!!

It's about the right time of year to do that.No need to worry about snakes and spiders and such.Is your house a nice old one?Could be some good finds there, get up under the porch if possible.H.H.-diggummup
