Military Wings & Propellor

I dug this up and it sat for years. I know all about the maker N.S. Meyer New York
What i don't know is whats the official name for this thing. I googled and
i ebay'd an i got a few names. I'd like the correct one.
It's 1 inch wide and i haven't found any with a circle surrounding it.
WWI - WWII - or after ?
This should be an easy one for the experts here

N.S. Meyer markings ........

In the 20’s : screwback, “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” (raised), no shield
Early 30’s : screwback, “N.S. MEYER NEW YORK” + shield (engraved).
Mid 30’s to 1943 : screwback, “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield (engraved).
WWII : pinback, “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield (raised)
Late 40’s : Shield only (raised)
Late 40’s to early 50’s : “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield (raised and ½ size)
Early 50’s : “N.S. MEYER, INC. N.Y.C” or “N.S. MEYER, INC. N.Y.©” + shield (raised)
Mid 50’s to Mid 60’s : “N.S. MEYER, INC NY” or “N.S. MEYER, INC NEW YORK” + Shield + 9M (raised).
Mid 60’s to mid 70’s : N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield + 22M (raised)
Since mid 70’s : N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK MADE IN USA” + shield + 22M (raised).

I don't know what it's called, but it's from WW2. US Army Air Force.

I can't find any with the ring. might be after WW2
I was even thinking radio premium ? I did forget to mention it's
a pin back.

I got 1 more question ...... who would have worn this a pilot, rank, WW2 etc. ?

If I'm thinking correctly here your pin would have been worn by an officer. It would definitely be ww2 since the Air Force became it's own separate branch after the war

and i figured it would be one of the easier ones for the knowledgable people here.
