🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Military script Infantry button, (stumped on identification)

I dug this Script military button. I've researched the internet and have found similar ones, but not quite identical.
to this one. I can read Quality on the back, and it is 22mm.

Please note:
I was not sure what side was face up, so I took 2 pictures of up and down)

I am not sure it is military. There are a large number of single letter buttons made for the fashion industry.

Sorry to have to say, your find is definitely a Civilian-usage button, not a Military one. It does not appear in the famous book "Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons, with Supplement" by Alpheus H. Albert. Nor in the supplement to THAT book, by Daniel J. Binder. Also not in the huge Warren K. Tice button-book.

A major ID-clue is your brass TWO-PIECE button's perfectly-flat front... which no American Military "letter buttons" have.
