Yes, it is marked O.B. sterling.. the O.B. stands for Ostby & Barton, Jewelers from the 1870's, whose firm made jewelery until the 1950's. As it turns out, the Ostby fella perished on the Titanic returning from Europe w/ new designs and precious jewels....Anyways the ring is an Infantry Army ring, from World War 1 ! it is sterling silver, originally sold to doughboys for $1.75 ! there is a gold version also MSRP in 1918 was $13.75!LOL... the house I found the ring also gave up a cool army button, probably from the same G.I...some research could probably identify who lost it.. we'll see.

That ring is a special find for sure - it's in nice condition for it's age too - I'd guess there is a lively collectors market for that as well .
