I got this piece from my great grandfather when he passed away. It appears to be a WW1 victory medal, but he was not in the military to my knowledge. I guess I am wondering if anyone on TNET has one or has seen one before?

That is the Allied Victory Medal from World War 1. It's the American version. Does it have the recipients name engraved on the rim? Many of them did. I found one years ago from a South African soldier and managed to track down his family and return it.

Thank you for the reply. I do not see a name on the rim.
