Hello All. Found this over the weekend at an inner city abandoned lot...thought it was a common brass washer till I turned it over...very happy to see the anchor on it and not just another blank back side.

It's convex on the anchor side, concave on the reverse, 1.5-IN in diameter, and made of copper...I guess...not magnetic anyway.
Looks like there was a clasp on the reverse but no engraving on either side. It has a nice patina so I'm thinking it's got bit of age to it.

Let me know what you know...Military? Button? Modern decorative piece? Thanks for the view and any comments if 'ya got 'em.

Good Luck out there. C9

It's almost too big to be a button and the back attachment looks more likely to be a collar disk as suggested by ripvanb.

Very cool, I love the raised detail, perhaps a rosette of a seahorse lol

I'm stumped. I don't see any remnants of an attaching point or points on the back. I think the hole was used to rivet the anchor device to the front. I could not find a similar collar disc with an internet search. But, I feel like I have seen something like this before. If only I could get my brain to work!
