military button

i believe this is a military button found today ,circa 1840's homestead.posted it on what is it for better id.

Looks like it may be a mid to late 19th century button. Can we get a photo of the back? Any mark?

the back is junk but just found one on the pc just like it but the eagle is facing the other way so this must be pre may 14,1941 navy dress button.

Iron back is usually post WWI.
