I dug this last weekend and am not sure if it is marine or navy? I have found ones listed that are close but this has a high dome and is just
slightly bigger around than a nickel.and I am not finding any markings on it. The height is about the same as 5 nickels stacked together. all the ones I find are not that high.

As a guess it looks more Military than civilian but is probably no older than 1900. Not like the UK version that I have found but its pretty similar.

It's a Navy design...but I couldn't find it in Alberts....maybe civilian copy.

the waterberry is close but mine does not have the design around the edge. I am stumped and it came from a house that has ben around at least from the late 1900 to early 1900's .

Jims is a closer match. It may be an old button grisley but the same design is still made today and it is listed as fashion.
