It has been a hot summer and I have not spent much time out this summer detecting or digging . On the weather report yesterday the weather man said it was the 28 th day of 90 or above temps this year .Today makes 29 .I had a hour of so this morning before it heated up so I was running my detector around the edges of the yard of a house built in the late 1880's . Lots of wire and nails , foil and old cans .But I also found a large brass military casing It is head
stamped LC 43 I took a picture of it next to a 12 shotgun shell for a size reference .The odd thing is it was filled with dirt and when I cleaned it out the small brown piece of glass was inside if it
