The local Whites dealer bought a old Whites 6000 detector says it works, I heard you have to really whip it around to work. He told me what he paid for it. I've gotten at least 3-5 sales for him already with people who i work with. Also I gave him about 40-50 duplicate copies of old treasure magazines to give out to those who are thinking of buying but have not made the leap yet. I figure I can get a good deal on it. It's at least 10-15 years old. But thats what i want is the challenge of finding old coins with a more primative detector. So I'll run it buy him and see what i can get it for. later Free

I used to have a 6000-D series 2, it was a great Machine. it is a Motion Detector, but you don't have to swing it Real Fast. it easily got 8" on coins

Jeff, gave my brother a Sears Best WHite 6000. Don't know what series was but meter mounted flush on box not handle. Was deadly on nickles registered #28 cosistant pulltabs #32-24. Didn't have owners manual-sears wanted $10 for one. Called Whites they sent one for free plus cassette tape manual w/lots of extras. Now THATS service. HH

Shhhh!!! We didn't hear this question either!

Hey F2D
So you really are after the challenge of finding old coins with a more primitive detector- Well are you ready for a real challenge?
How about a Garrett "The Hunter" which is currently on E-Bay?

How about this 40 year BFO without discrimination and "needs a little TLC or doesn't work"(actually I would have purchased one at the time if I could have afforded it).

Apparently there are a lot of folks? like you who love the challenge of a primitive detector? as the bid is over $100(No I am not joking).

Ha Ha George
