Well after a week of honey dos i got out to the spot in the desert. I didn't find any coins but did find something i have been looking for for awhile. i don't know why i have been but it has been crossed off the list of things to find in old mining towns. the thimble no longer eludes me. haha. also found this toy gun. i found the trigger piece and my son found the handle piece 15ft down the hill from the trigger. it was a gorgeous day to be hunting here in the southwest.

Sounds like a fun day .. any day you get to hunt with your children is a great day in my book! The cap gun pieces are neat!
