Three more groups of mosquitoes infected with the West Nile Virus have been found in Dauphin County, bringing the county’s total for the summer to nine, officials said today.
Two infected mosquito samples were collected in Susquehanna Township on Tuesday and Wednesday and one was collected in Lykens on Tuesday. In June, infected mosquitoes were found in Derry, Susquehanna and Lower Paxton townships.
Elsewhere in the midstate the number of recorded mosquito cases are Cumberland County, 10; Lebanon County, 15; Perry County, 1; and York County, 16.
