✅ SOLVED Middle East Hunt - Raw Iron?

I hacked away a few layers of crust from this piece and after a little steel wool action, I discovered a relatively thin (1 mm maybe?), smooth core that is bendable (but strong) and is attracted to my magnet. Is this iron and is it ever found in nature in this state?
