Middle Creek National Battlefield

I visited the Middle Creek National Battle field in Prestonsburg Kentucky Yesterday. I had a great time and recommend it to everyone. It wasn't the biggest civil war battle, but it brought James A. Garfield to national attention and eventually the presidency.

what was the outcome of the battle? it must've been a pretty significant battle to get a pres to go to it. but in mo, truman visited all the battlefields.
