It was cool and cloudy on Saturday morning, so I slipped out for a little hunt. I hunted a 30โ x 70โ grassy strip that used to be a front yard. The dozer had scraped it a little, but not too badly.
The house stood on a busy 4 lane road, in the nice part of town. You can tell because of the car crash debris I eyeballed.
Only the front yard area produced anything, there were signals everywhere there but nowhere else on the lot. I got 50+ coins.
This brass jewelry box key was a lot better than a bottle cap.
I also found a brass Red Goose Shoes token, and an old trolley token.
There wasnโt much trash, and only a few more modern coins. It was an โunhitโ 1940s/50s yard. I only wish it would have been bigger. And had a half dollar in it.
I hunted for 2 hours and got 31 wheaties.
A pair of buffalo nickels showed up. I was digging every signal since the spot was so small.
Two silver Rosieโs and a Merc rounded out the mid century madness.
This one was less than 1โ deep, as the dozer had scraped off the layer above it. I uncovered it by brushing away the dirt with my finger.
Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.
