Walked a cornfield today that has yielded many points in the past few years. This is what I found today. Would like to know what the round thing is?

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard joedirttoo! Take a look at Forum: Michigan for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

If there's broken brick or old glass near where you found that - you might want to return with a metal detector and see if there is any coins or buttons from an old house site.
