Went down south of Cancun last week and braved the very windy and high surf zone. Day one, My first target of the trip was an 18K wedding band. The tide was rising but I toughed it out long enough to get another band marked sterling. It's a fatty and I was on a roll. It was tough digging through and into the coral areas but I was excited and kept going. Plenty of targets many pesos and us coins. Got a small sterling ear ring on the way in. Day two. again on a roll, my wife decided to join me to see the goodies add up in the scoop. She brought me luck as she asked what I had in the scoop I showed her a Man's Diamond wedding band. She said put it in your pocket and keep going. LOLOL. Day Three, started off slow, and I was getting beat up bad, and just couldn't find a better spot, so I moved closer to the beach ( waste deep ) and my first ring of the day was located 925. a few more feet and bang another sterling ring. Day four, talked with a couple of locals and they put me on a good spot about 100 yrds out and laying rite on top of coral was a Platnum wedding band Holy Sh*t I said, my wife could here me from where she was standing....Later on, a money clip, although empty, I pondered if I had been there last season was it full? Day five was a banner day, and I exited the beach, with 2 silver and two white & yellow gold rings, both are hefty at that. Had some fun in the sun and a great rewarded trip from Mexico. Enjoy the pictures.
