Meteorites on the east coast???

Hey guys
Just watched "treasure hunting" show on the Travel channel, and never knew of the possibiliy to take your metal detector out to find objects from another world. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew if there where any meteorites found in the eastern states like Maryland, Penn, Delaware? If so around where and what would you have to look for if anything but luck? Thanks alot
