There is a spot called Jaulian not far from Sirkap an ancient Gandharan city in Taxila Punjab Pakistan.
I have surveyed this area and found this particular object alongwith so many others
which are scattered on the face of a hill. The locals there told me that this was
fragments of a meteorite which are scattered on the hill upon impact.
Anyway the object does not have iron although it is very heavy and looks metallic.
It does not respond to a magnet.
Sue appreciate if there is anyone out there that can advise on this.
Thnks.

it just doesn't have the right look for a meteorite. Metallic but not magnetic does not fit the description of a stony, stony iron or iron meteorite. Never saw one with a crack in it like that before. I am going guess this was made on earth and not outer space.

Looks like a petrified blackberry... :laughing9:

Sorry that didn't help but it's the first thing that came to mind.

Cool find :icon_thumright:

My guess would be hematite (iron oxide).
