Hello.
Anybody out there know anything about rocks?
I acquired this rock in a box lot at an auction.
In some limited research, I believe it may be a meteorite.
It is not magnetic. It has been polished on one side. It weighs 6.7 ounces.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.

In my opinion not a meteorite. Looks like agate to me.

Plain old rock, albeit kinda pretty.
Looks like agate or Jasper to me.
If it's not magnetic, it's probably not a meteorite.

Terry Soloman (and Bucket Lister in 2nd place) is correct, your find is a variety of Agate/Chalcedony. Yours is exceptionally beautiful, containing swirls of red Jasper. It has already been partially polished by a previous owner. If I owned in, I would take it to a gems-&-minerals "rockshop" to have it professionally slabbed (cut and highly polished) into a valuable cabochon, or whatever shape is appropriate to the size of original stone. Looks like a heart shape is possible to achieve. Depending on its size (which you unfortunately did not tell us), it could be mounted into a pendant frame. IMO, that would make a stunningly beautiful gift for someone you love.
