Hello everyone,

About 22 years ago when we dug up our backyard in Zaandam, The Netherlands (a city near Amsterdam) I found this old metal thingy. Is it cast iron?

It has 16 symbols on it in a circle and the number 485. It also has a picture of a knight on a horse with what appears to be a halberd I guess?

Can anyone identify this for me?

Neat find! The button seems to have the same design as this Austrian coin. Guldengroschen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The metal could be iron, but I would think there would be more oxidation on it. Possibly copper? How heavy is it? Maybe someone else will know for sure.
Right now that's about all I can dig up. (Pun not intended.) Hope this helped.
