Metal spaceship identification help please?

Approx. 1 1/2" tall, no markings. Found in a 1920's yard about 4-5 inches deep in the Kansas City, MO area. No markings whatsoever. Any takers? I'm guessing maybe a game token similar to a Monopoly piece.

Looks like a Flash Gordon spaceship to me. Appears identical to the TV show.

Looks kind of like a hood ornament, or a piece of one. The dimensions you describe make it seem a little small for that though.
