metal rock???

hello all
i dug this rock up and my detector is convinced its metal!
i thought this may be melted tar with stones in but ive tried burning it and nothing.

Could be an iron or if a blue color a silver ore etc. Photos are not to great. LOL Ask around for your local prospectors and show it to them.

i think you have a meteorite. mine looks very similar. not sure but have a rock hound check it for you. my detector thought mine was silver. there are also "hot rocks" that contain metals but i don't know much about it.

where can i find a "rockhound" ? is there any on here?
i think i would have prefered a coin!it must be old though i think i would have noticed if these had come down while i lived round here,
