Metal half-disc Midtown KC yard 1904

Found at a 1904 home in Midtown Kansas City MO 4-5" deep w/MXT. Flat reverse no markings 1" diameter, 1/2" high. Shot in the dark. Any guesses?

Also got a button marked "24" found in So. Kansas City easement.Very small, maybe1/2" diam. Same detector of course. 3-4" deep.

First object: Rivit head? Sheared off carriage bolt head?

Any size reference would be helpful.

No clue on the half disc.

My first thought on the button was fireman's coat button with the engine or station number on it.

Just guessing...
