Great old detector right there. Don't let anybody kid ya. It will hunt with the big dogs. Good find.:icon_thumleft:

How does it compare to ACE 250/350?

To compare it to something you may be more familiar with, it's on par with an AT Pro with a few exceptions, obviously it's not waterproof. The detection depth can be a little better then an ATPro depending on the situation. It's basically the last "analog" detector with manual ground balance made I believe.

It's basically the analog version of the XLT with some slight differences.

***Not my post, hopefully it's ok to post a link to this forum/post, but it gives you an idea of what I'm refering to with great pics.***

Great find! Those were right at the top in their day, and I will bet it can still hold its own.

Thats funny! I read the topic and thought you went out Mding and actually found a metal detector... The reason I say that is a few years ago I was hunting a old site of a Civil War training camp. Whats funny is I found a snapped in half "Walmart special" in the woods! Someone got frustrated... lol!!
