Detector(s) used
Garrett Ace 250
Hi,
I have a Garrett ace 250 and this morning I turned it on outside away from any electrical stuff and it was acting crazy. Readings and beeping constantly. I turned the sensitivity down to only the second notch and it worked good. It has never done this before. I can usually turn the sensitivity up to the 2nd highest notch or the highest notch without a problem. Has anybody else experienced this and does anybody know how to correct this problem?
Thank you,
Dan :(

Mine only does that when there is another metal detector too close. might try changing the batteries...just to be sure.

..............TREASURE HUNTER DAN...........THE ACE 250 HAS A RESET BUTTON ..................TURN IT OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON AND HOLD IT FOR AT LEAST 5 TO 10 SECONDS..................This will reset the detector to the original factory settings!!.....................................MERRY CHRISTMAS.............JOE

Ditto what Myelo said, my 250 does the same when batts are low. Check your coil connection. Try reset if needed

I just smack it around a little bit and show it who's boss.

(Actually, it's probably the batteries. Mine did something similar earlier this week. Changed the batteries and everything is fine.)
