Hello,I'm new on here.my name is Rob and I'm from and live in maine.i started metal detecting a few years ago.im not really any good but I'm learning.i have found a few coins old and new.a little bit of jewelry.alot of junk.lol.but I recently found a couple old little horseshoes.i was wondering if anyone could help me find out about them.im not having much luck.one measures 2 1/2 inches and has A.F.Cox &Son on it and portland ,maine.the other one is a little smaller but nothing on it.please help.thank you

I'm doubting that these are for an actual horse as they're so small.
Maybe heel plates for boots, or a sampler.
Very interesting recovery.

Welcome! Nice fids to open up with. Do they look like they would fit on the heel of your own shoe. They look like they could be baseball shoe cleats, or the people version of snow tires. You might need them this winter up there.
