I got invited to a new site by a friend and has produced some fantastic finds so far. The site has been hunted in the past, old iron either hangs on low branches or is stacked up at the base of tree trunks and you can see old dig holes. Plus we have been told that the site was pounded by a group of detectorists in the 80s. I can't even imagine what they found...

But for this post, here you go. The most notable finds are going to be the Republican Blues Confederate Button with backmark Horstman Bros. & CO New York and the eagle head at 1'o'clock (I will also post a picture from Warren Tice's book), and what appears to me as a 1876 Three Cent Nickel.
