Metal Detecting Find @ 1800's railroad prostitute house/General Store

CAM00505.jpgCAM00504.jpgCould someone help me identify this? I was metal detecting on an old railroad whore house and General store from the 1800's and found this bad boy 4 inches under the front entry. Have no idea what it is! Maybe a badge of some sort? Yes this place was a place for railroad workers to have at it! lol :headbang:

What kind of metal is it made of ? Any writing on it?

As for "cat-house" locatations, .... on a humorous note: Guess what kind of object shows a predominance at those red-light district locations? BUTTONS. Go figure: those boys always coming and going taking on and off their pants, what did you expect ? :)

You should check around there for caches, the "ladies" would sometimes hide some of their $!

Looks like a 1st prize for the guy with longevity

Lol! Those were only used on the ladies days off!

sent from a potato...

On an off guess I would think its either at railroad conductors badge or watch fob. More inclined that its a watch fob due to the shape and size.
