It appears that you have a "Kneeling Firing" lead alloy American soldier made by the English toy company known as "Timpo," circa 1945-1955. Soldiers from this company are widely respected and sought among collectors, congratulations on the great find. Sub 8-)

Can I ask where you found your information? I have been unable to find any information on this particular figurine. I'm looking for age and potential value for my mding records book.
Thanks in advance .

I use a 18 year old book, "Collecting Toy Soldiers No. 2, an Identification and Value Guide,' by Richard O'Brien. I have studied it for a "few" years, making it a quick reference for lead or alloy soldiers/cars/toys. Timpo is one of only a few companies (out of hundreds) that made the WW2 soldiers in LEAD (yours is definitely wearing a WW2 helmet, fatigues, and firing an M-1 Garand rifle,) which narrows it down. Yours, in its very good condition, would be worth about 10-15 dollars to a collector who needed it. Happy Hunting, Sub
