Merle Haggard Tickets Cow Palace Houston ??

Found these tickets in a book today. I can't find anything about a concert venue at I-45 and Greens Road. Any help would be appreciated!

I found a thread online that mentions 12902 NORTH FWY, 77060 - a forum member comments: “That is McCauley's Buildings and Barns, I-45 @ Knobcrest i remember when that was built. The Cow Palace bar was across the street but it burned down in the late 1980's early 90's.”

I pulled up the address on Google and I can see a Greens Road on the map just below the pin. I’m assuming that was the nearest exit off of I-45 to get to the Merle concert at the Cow Palace, which was across the street from the McCauley’s mentioned above. Sounds like the location would’ve been the 12900 or 12800 block of North Freeway. I hope that helps point you in the right direction. Cool find!

In 1981 the Cow Palace was my regular hangout. My friends and I would go two-stepping there at least twice a week. I found your post while reminiscing about hanging out with George Strait in Houston just as he was starting out his career. What fun it was to see your tickets. And another fun fact, in 1994, I booked Merle Haggard to play at a benefit concert at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. He was a class act guy.
