Finally got the internet back, so this is the third attempt for this post. My wife found the Merc and the nicer 1937 Buff. She also found two of the sixteen wheaties so she was feeling pretty good. she also found the bird thing, looks to be cheap junk. I found the ear ring which is probably bling. I also found the two pocket knives and the various lead balls. One round ball is 58 cal and several other ones are 45 cal as well as what could be buck shot. the small bling ring has a Nike symbol on it. there is a very small lock that has been breaking down. The spinner bait was a total surprise for this spot. I found the Catholic medallion, it was hard to read and had a big M on the back. the buckle is iron and probably nothing much. the 37 Buff has been the nicest one so far, the other one is too toasted with no date. I was happy to finally find the 58 round ball, it had been fired for sure. one of the longer but small lead bullets was very worn and around 40 cal. the bigger pocket knife has Pocket Eze on the handle. one hunt was on the permission and the other short hunt was at a soccer field. Was happy to find so many wheaties but the wife trumped me with the better Buff and the Merc, oh well. Still had a blast!

sorry, forgot, the oldest wheatie was 1919, the newest was 1952

You guys had a nice variety of finds....I wouldn't dust off the "bird thing" to quickly. Clean it up, do a little testing, could be silver.

The date spread on the wheats, silver Merc and the Buffalo is wide. There has to be more finds at this spot.

Just wondering about the back story? Is it an old house? or some other location you got the ok on?
Any plans to go back for a second hunt?

Very Nice Old Finds

Very Nice Old Finds

this is a new permission, several acres. is partially wooded and has signs of old house debris. we have found quite a bit of silver and older coins so far and military relics as well. awesome permission so far.

The Catholic thing looks like it came from a rosary and probably has the Virgin Mary or something similar on it. I couldnt tell you about age, although I know theyve been around a while.

Your bird charm looks to be the symbol of the Phoenix bird which is a spiritual symbol for many cultures. Congrats on all of your finds.

Buffalo with a date! WooHoo!

Those are some great finds there, congratulations. The eagle/phoenix head there is from a key chain. I had one in the 70's. The Catholic medallion is the "Miraculous Medal" of Mary. Happy Hunting.

Great Hunt Buddy .
I wish my Wife Hunted.
Neat Finds y'all got , Kinda like the Bird thing , it looks Native American to me.

Contratz on the '58' Ball as well. You got lots of types of bullets , neat!..I dug one of those Big Rifle bullets last weekend & thought , " I would not want to get hit by this thing going at 2700 -3000 Ft per Second."

The earing def, looks 'Blingy' Sweet Merc & many Wheat, s ..Funny the 1919 & the 1952 'retail' the same in XF-40 , they made a-lot of 1919's.

I like the Keys as well....Crazy Me lol

The only thing yr missing is a Tootsie Car or a Hot Wheels.

A very good hunt with the wife IMO.
Davey
