Memoru card????????????

Not sure where it goes but believe it's referring to something like an SD card for cameras. It can print pics from the card w/o the need for a computer.

Integrated Card slots

* Supports Compact flash type I and II, Multimedia Card, IBM microdrive, xD-Picture Card, Sony Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo (adapter sold separately), Memory Stick PRO Duo (adapter sold separately), MagicGate Memory Stick, SmartMedia, Secure Digital, Mini Secure Digital (adapter sold separately) and MultiMediaCard

It's in that thing that we, as real men never need to read, the manual.

Is it new? Or was it working, then all of a sudden decided it needed a memory card?

Hi Beep; I had one nasty virus, and had to have the pooter scrubbed, when it came back the printer would not work, so back it went, came back ,printer works ,copy works, pictures download from camera ok, but no scan!!! then it says it needs a memory card. I wouldnt know one if it bit me!!! do I open the whole case up? maybe it came loose in transit? I am about to buy a new one and then tear into thisone. any good ideas? Bob

Go to the Epson website and download the driver updates and utilities for this model. Install them. That should take care of it.

Yep...what he said. I had problems with a HP scanner and they had patches on their website to fix the problems.

But do be aware....some of those really insidious viruses infect your peripherals also. They sit there and wait for you to plug them back into the USB port and they go right back into your puter.

Your scanner does have memory....things can just sit there.

What path did you tell it to scan to? When they scan, you need to have a default directory for it to store the scan. If you didn't set one in the scanner utilities, it is probably defaulting to the memory card slot on the printer.
