Memorial for "Blue Shadow"

Not sure where to post this...

Not sure even what to say, but here goes...

Our friend Tommy, aka Blue Shadow on the Forum, passed away on December 4, 2007.

A Celebration of Life is planned for him on Saturday, December 15 at 5:00p.m. (or any time after that) at
The Hobnobber Tavern in Burien, WA. The address is 447 S.W. 153rd St., Burien.

Tommy was a good huntin' buddy and I'll certainly miss him.

I know many of his friends on the forum live in other areas of the country and won't be present at his memorial, but it would a comfort to think that TH'ers across the country might raise a glass in his honor on Saturday.

Thanks,
Kilika

No problem, you are welcome.

I was also very fortunate to have Tommy as a fan of my poetry and writing. He graced me with some good feedback and awesome support.

He also wrote poetry.
Here are two poems that I have access to that Tommy wrote.
:'( :'( :'(

"In the Light of"

As we journey on, each of us,
toward whatever light may be.
Should I ignore the Light of you?
Or you the light of me?

Or shall we join as kindered souls?
To seek our destiny.
Hand in hand at journey's end
Together you and me.

"Words on a Grave Stoned"

READ you my friends
these words of me.
I have always been..
will always be.

Life is all the Deathman brings..
Death is life
on different wings.

Re: Memorial for "Blue Shadow"

Very sorry to hear this. That is a beautiful poem he wrote and you shared with us Bobby.

He was a great person and one of the last times he emailed me was because he was trying to cheer me up because of some things I was going through.

I hope Heaven knows what a wonderful man they are getting.
My heart goes out to his friends and family.

Re: Memorial for "Blue Shadow"

This saddens me...another T-Net Charter member has passed. :'( I recall so many of Blue's posts but one that really stands out is the one where he found some treasure filled backpacks in a dumpster Stolen loot as it turned out to be. He had turned it all in, and after the 30 day time frame, he was not the one who got the goodies. Blue had a heart of gold, he loved detecting and replying to just about everyone's post.

BDoo, thanks for posting Blue's picture and his poems.

Kilka, thank you for letting us know. I know y'all had fun detecting together.

Judy and family members, my heart goes out to you.

Blue, Farewell my friend.

I don't know him in person but I do recall reading some of his posts on here...may he RIP. I will definitely have a drink in rememberance of him on Saturday. Thank you for posting the picture and info...

Re: Memorial for "Blue Shadow"

As I've moved from the Seattle area, I can't make the memorial.
Kalika, please raise a toast from me to Blue. (I'm sure he'd prefer a good old fashioned Irish wake.) He was a good person and fun MDing partner.
