*We all know what's inside and that's why I'm not gonna reveal the contents, but that's not the reward.

Kinda strange to see so many shell casings right on the beach located in Southern California. It had to be real recently as of the last couple of days or so because I hit this same stretch of beach right before Memorial Day weekend.

*A total of 8 shell casing within a 5 foot area.

I saved the best for last!
At a different beach I hit this target in the dry right near a some rocks.

It works and it's an automatic winder, but I'm not finding much on this particularl model or brand. All I know is that this company started in Switzerland and broke off to 4 different companies but using the same brand name. I think this one is made in Spain. Maybe someone here would know more about this watch. So other than that this is my finds for the day.

Yeah .223 not sure what or who could have fired them off. Nothing in the news about any shootings in that area.

That watch is a dang fine find!

....The watch name is appropos ! Fun day , huh ?
Can't imagine anyone firing anything around these beaches...... Are they long gun shells ?

They definitely ain't pistol casings! Looks like .223 or similar sized.

Nice watch find!

Maybe they brought sand in as fill from one of the beaches near camp pendleton. I remember doing beach landing exercises back in the early 70's when I was in the Marines.
We fired off blanks while rushing the beach. M14's with 7.65mm at that time.

Make since I didn't think of that. Interesting by far.
