Thanks for posting this clip Jeff. Stories such as this were so horrible for many of these old veterans years after that terrible war. Unfortunately, many of these visions and stories would stay with these old soldiers from both sides and haunt them until their deaths. In this particular story, Vision meant so much more than eyesight to this old embattled soldier. This is yet another look into our Nation's past and what hardships the soldiers of this war and all our wars had endured. We must never forget and always appreciate the sacrifices that have been made in our country's defense.
Thanks for sharing. It is easy to get lost in the strategy of battles and forget the human side of the event, something we should never do. When today's generation make a big show about being "offended" because they walked past a statue or monument they should stop and think what it represents. Regardless of how you feel about the root cause of the conflict, never forget the personal tragedies involved. Remember the famous quote that goes something like this; "those that forget history are doomed to repeat it".
[That is a Very Good point. So many of these baby wa wah's could not tell you the first thing about our History or the monument that so offends them. Most of these folks should move out of Mommy & Daddy's house and get a job. They would then have have less time in order to be so offended.UOTE=djackson7348;6411746]Thanks for sharing.
