In the US it is illegal to take, kill, or possess turkey vultures, their eggs, and any body parts including but not limited to their feathers; violation of the law is punishable by a fine of up to $100,000 for individuals or $200,000 for organizations, and/or a prison term of 1 year.

You are absolutely correct. I've never have taken these little guys, nor have I ever killed or possessed any part of them or their eggs. People don't realize how very important they are & that they keep all kinds of diseases from spreading among the wild. I love to advocate for them. 😃😃

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Yes, thanks for sharing the little darlings.
Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I love them all, the babies as well as the mother. A lot of people don't know the babies are all white until they grow up. Here are a couple pics of mommy.

While digging around an old barn yesterday, I found these little guys. Baby Turkey Vultures, to me they are so cute.
The mother has her babies here every year. Just wanted to share their cuteness with everyone. 😍😍
Thanks for sharing

I really like the black headed kind. There were two scrawny looking fledglings at a ramshackle house in the woods near me. I didn't see the parents and they were at that awkward "can we fly?" stage. I went to Wallymart and bought some Tilapia fish and put it out for them. I suppose they got them. Or maybe a raccoon, but you gotta try.

Can you imagine what Africa would be like without buzzards??

Thanks for sharing!! I have never seen baby turkey vultures! Much cuter than the parents!

Nice pictures of the mother.
I'm not sure really about them.
Reasons being is that most times I go out, I see a shadow.
I look up and sure enough there's one soaring around over my head.
I'm convinced that they know something I don't.
A buddy said "Don't worry about them, they're everywhere."
Sure-sure, I believe you.🤣

Try moving around some, pepper, and they will stop circling your head.
