Medieval button ??

Hello Tnet, found this possible medieval button.
i think its medieval because of the 'shank' really old buttons have a flat piece with a hole in it.
But the weird part is this one doesnt have a hole.
Btw.. It is a very small button..
Any body an idea ?

These type are generally Tudor period & technically not Medieval. Yours maybe one before they drilled the hole, or maybe a piece of metal working waste.
