Found this fly fishing in the Lehigh river far from civilization. Was told it was a tablet from the mound people by an Indian Museum. If you look at the pattern, its half of a dream catcher. Was told this could be over 1k years old. I'd like to find another person that found one to verify. If you know anything more then I've mentioned please give me a shout. Thanks guys.

The rings are too perfect. That was made on a machine. It's modern. Looks like the bottom of a bucket like container. Gary

I agree. Almost looks ceramic?

I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but it's by no means that old, much less prehistoric.

I am curious though, what does the other side look like?

Maybe some kind of hydraulic cement, grout or plaster of Paris that was popped out of a plastic bucket. A shot of the other side might help.

Don't put too much faith in what museums tell you. Our local museum has a big display of fake arrowheads on the wall just inside the front door.

Here's another view from a different thread.

I'll take a shot at it and say it looks like half of a mold in which something is cast--possibly for a menorah or similar shaped item.

Tombstone fragment...

It would still help to see the other side of it, not a different angle of the same side.

I agree. You'll need the OP to take care of that request. I saw this on a different thread by the same person and figured it couldn't hurt to post it.

doesn't look like any pre-historic artifact i've ever seen.
