Medallion Francis Asbury

I have included several photos with different lighting & focus of this medallion,
slightly larger than a quarter, has 2 concentric lines of script, I can make out some individual letters, but nothing I can form words from, is it a Founding Father,
a Jolly Roger, or Frankensteins Monster?
I've spent a while examining this, & have gotten nowhere. (my eyes are getting old)
No backmark that I can see, When found, I assumed it was a drilled counterfeit HP, and into the pocket it went, when I got home & looked again, I said Hmmm,
This may be more significant than I thought...

I cant decide if its GW or Abe Lincoln? Im thinking GW. Maybe a campaign token of some kind?

I see it in the second pic. Didnt notice it in the first.

Hey Herbie, what if you take a piece of paper, lay it over the token and rub it with a pencil? Might be able to transfer some of the letters and make them stand out.

Sometimes it helps Herbie, and other times it messes with your head. Who knows what will transfer.

That is definitely the piece, and guess what?
There has been a Methodist Church a bit up the road for as long as anyone in town can remember. (The only Church in town)
I looked at & made impressions for an hour last night, sweating under the halogen lamp trying to ID, now that I have something to compare it to. It is Oh So Clear!!
