I ENTERED THIS IN A CONTEST AND WON
ALSO IT GOT PUT IN A POETRY BOOK NO BIG DEAL THOUGH

IN A LIONS HEART

Once like the eagle I stood proud and free
Yet now live in a cage for the world to see

What right does man have to keep me locked tight
away from my freedom my land and my life

Once i was many so strong and so vain
yet now I am few and my heart aches with pain

Each night i sit alone and I look to the stars
And try to remember my life behond bars

I call to the heavens and I pray for my pride
and remember my friends for whos coats they have died.

Ive killed only to eat and never for gain
Unlike mankind whos greed is so plain

But I am a Lion so proud i will stand
Ill hold my chin high and remember my land

Now I end this long day filled with heartache and sorrow
For I am a lion and theres always tomarrow
