Nice to have a hunting buddy.You can find all kinds of good information about detectors on this sight.I have an ace 250 that I like and have heard good things about the tessero silver umax,the ace is light as a feather.

ACE 250 Is light, but the Tesoro cibola is what I use its light so are several of the tesoros

Welcome aboard. What a great looking couple. I have a Tesoro Compadre. It is very light (2.2 lbs) and I can swing it all day and not get tired. It has one knob turn on and go with discrimination and sells new for around $160. I have had mine for about 7 years now and I would not go out without it. Hope it helps.
