I have been on here for several months now, so I guess It's about time to put my homely ole mug on here. I've got
one with my wife in it so it doesn't scare everybody away, LOL. We were visiting Niagra Falls, Canada a while back
and while driving around exploring the surrounding area we found an Aviary. Alarge building with all kinds of birds
flying around inside in a beautiful woodsey setting. There was a stream winding around flowing in all directions with a path along side the stream. It had trees, bushes and all kinds of wild flowers growing everywhere. It was like being in the middle of a picturesque forrest. At one side was a large walk-in cage about 10ft x20ft. In this cage were several
breeds of parrots. A girl in the cage would let 3or 4 people go in with her and take pics of the parrots. As it happened when Karen and I went in some parrots landed on her and the girl took our pic. This the way it turned out.

Chris

Thanks Sherman for the complement.

Hello, Chris, Thanks for your reply. Tomorrow morning I'll post those Pics I took on the USS Midway that I mentioned after
seeing your pics of the battleship you were on.

Parrotheads?!?
Looks like you got one of those Kodak moments on that trip!
Good seeing you!

Thanks Lowbatts, we did have a lot of fun that day. My wife loves all the birds, wild or tame, She got a big kick out of those parrots with them being so tame.

Thanks again and good hunting

Ray

Good Morning, Granny,

Yup, I know what you mean about the birds when they land on you. You can't help but laugh. They are so much bigger than a parakeet, which is commom. Makes for a lot of fun. And she happened to have one of her favorite sweatshirts on
with the eagles and forrest scenes which seemed kind of appropriate. LOL

Thanks Cyn, it's been a long time coming, hasn't it?

Thank you, John, She sure did have a ball with those parrots. It's kind of a fun and unusual thingto have 2 or 3 birds
that big walking on your head and some on your arms. They were really tame. We even got a chance to stay in there a little longer than usual because there was no one else ready to come in.

Thank again to the three of you for your nice replies.

Ray

 Hey Karen & Ray, great to see you both. Being in that aviary looks like fun, but be my luck I would be covered with a lot of yuck. :D :D Been enjoying your posts, so keep em coming.

great pics. wow those parrots are something. those pics off the uss midway were awesome also . thanks ray.

Thanks, Granny, and to you too fossis.

River Rat,

It was very colorfull with all the birds and the way it was landscaped but the parrots were the only ones that would come
near the people. We were lucky, we didn't get any of that yuck on us with those parrots. LOL. But the thought did cross my mind before we got out of there. Thanks for the complements.

Goldie1959,

Thanks. And I'm glad you liked the Midway shots. That was a pretty interesting tour with so much to see.

:icon_sunny: GREAT picture, you two!

Nana :)
