Mding in Washington State

I am going Mding in Washington State next week with our fellow forum member caratjuice. I am going there to visit my Daughter and her family that moved up there a year ago. He was nice enough to invite me to go on a one day hunt with him. I am really looking forward to it. We are going to hunt some beach property that he is aware of and it will be my first attempt at a real beach hunt. I promise to post results here when I get back. He uses a DFX and I have a GTI 2500. I always wondered how the two perform side by side as I nearly bought the DFX when I bought the 2500. It's not a contest or anything, but all things being equal it should be interesting. I must admit I have only hunted freshwater a few times so he probably has an edge on me. That being the case, I hope to learn a lot from him. If I don't find anything I may just deny ever making this post! Wish us luck. Monty

Monty, I just was up that way a little over a month ago doing some hunting. Have a good time and enjoy the salmon, nothing like fresh sea food.

tb, I am in the Seattle area, Lynnwood. What's the deal on city parks? Is it OK? My daughter is taking the kids to a city park this afternoon and said I could MD while the kids play. Supposed to be a secluded park and in the year she has been here she says she hasn't seen anyone metal detecting, but we all know how that goes! Monty
