I was just reading a back issue of Treasures W&E (March 2006 to be exact) and it mentions that at that time there were (are?) several court cases pending against people in Texas and Alabama under the Archaeological Resources Protection Act. Does anyone know any particulars on these cases? I have only been in Alabama for four years and just got back into MDing. Is there something I should know about the laws in this State? I've been trying find out if there are any strict laws around MDing in Alabama, but haven't found anything other than the usual prohibitions regarding Federal and State Property, but I have also found out that in this State it seems that people love to talk about themselves, but unless you ask a direct question about something the information won't be volunteered.
